Some Examples of Past Customer Snare Builds
To the right are some examples of snare drums built for customers. Every snare we build is layed out with
machinist precision.
Most lugs are counter-bored, not just "through drilled", to provide maximum support so the lug screws stay tight.
Other builders often drill oversized holes to account for a lack of precision
in the layout and then expect the lug screw washer to take up the slack.
Stainless steel socket cap screws are used exclusively.
Other builders often use mix-matched hardware
of different color and head types. Our goal to use the best obtainable hardware and materials. Cheesy
looking hardware that doesn't stay tight doesn't belong on your drum.
Each drum is labeled with a logical serial number, shell type, and finish information.
This steam-bent olive ash snare is a nice example.
Take one our snares apart and you
will see the attention to fit, finish, and performance!
